Limited content can also be accessed online by visiting the artist's official website and navigating to the Talking Tintypes collection at willwilson.photoshelter.com.
This project represents a collaboration between Will Wilson, indigenous artists, community leaders, and the public, emphasizing the restoration of voice to still images. By integrating 19th and 21st-century technologies, Talking Tintypes fosters a dynamic interaction between historical archives and contemporary narratives, thus challenging traditional discursive authority associated with these archives.
Usage Instructions:
- Open the app and select "Begin".
- Scan any photograph from the Talking Tintypes Collection.
- Observe as the Talking Tintype comes to life on your device.
